Nursing Home Residents Make Pumpkin Decorations
September 12, 2019 Nursing Home residents at Higbanks Care Center in Columbus spent the afternoon getting creative! Who says you have to throw away empty toilet paper rolls? Instead, why not turn those toilet paper rolls into pumpkins? Well that's just what the residents at Highbanks Care Center on Lazelle Road in Columbus did!
"The creativity of each resident was a real cool thing to watch," said Activities Director Kim Patton, "we have some amazing residents and each of them was smiling from ear to ear while crafting their own unique designs."
The activity celebrating one of the many great things at fall was an example of the ever-evolving activities calendar at Highbanks Care Center. Each month, a new activity calendar is created based on the current preferences and wishes of the residents in the facility. "There are always new trips to go on, new things to create, and new snacks to eat...but it's always based on what they want. It's their house and their choices." said Highbanks Nursing Home Administrator Zee Romero.
